Specialised Family and Civil Legal Representation
Dan Vincent
Dan is a highly regarded family and civil law litigator with over twenty years experience. Having appeared in all New Zealand Courts, up to the highest level, he is at ease in the court system and extremely skilled in negotiations, advocacy and legal strategy.
Dan offers representation for relationship property disputes and the issues that arise from the breakdown in relationships: child support, spousal maintenance and care of children. He also regularly deals with issues arising from family trusts and closely held companies.
As a national leading expert on international child relocation and child abduction cases he has appeared for his clients in both the Family Court and, on appeal, in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
Dan also manages a lawyer for child practice and is therefore experienced in cases concerning the Care of Children Act 2004, Family Violence Act 2018 and the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989.
On top of his family law experience, Dan has extensive experience in civil litigation that has seen him conduct trials in the District and High Courts on a range of issues from building disputes, contractual issues and insolvency. He continues to take on civil litigation matters on a case by case basis.
